Seelbach
Long sold as a lost pre-Prohibition recipe from Louisville's Seelbach Hotel, it was revealed in 2016 that the hotel's restaurant director had invented it in 1995 and fabricated the backstory. The hoax barely dented its popularity. Bittersweet bubbles with a bourbon backbone — a legend either way.
