
Bijou
The Bijou is a jewel box from the 1890s, created by legendary bartender Harry Johnson and named after the gemstones its three components represent: diamond, ruby and emerald. It fell into obscurity for most of the twentieth century before craft bartenders rediscovered it. Rich, herbal and unapologetically old-school.

Afwerken met Maraschino cherry or lemon twist.
- Gin 30 ml
- Sweet Vermouth 30 ml
- Green Chartreuse 30 ml
- Orange Bitters 1 dash

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass filled with ice.

Stir until well chilled and properly diluted.

Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Garnish with a cherry or a twist of lemon.
