Oaxaca Old Fashioned
Phil Ward created this agave-powered Old Fashioned at New York's Death & Co in 2007, and it single-handedly put mezcal on the craft cocktail map. The split base of tequila and smoky mezcal makes it deep, earthy and endlessly sippable. One of the most influential drinks of its era.

Recept
Stir and serve
Afwerken met Flamed orange twist.
Ingredients
- Reposado Tequila 45 ml
- Mezcal 15 ml
- Agave Syrup 5 ml
- Angostura bitters 2 dash
Method
- 1
Stir all ingredients with ice until well chilled.

Strain into a rocks glass over one large ice cube.

Flame the orange twist over the drink and drop it in.
