Final Ward
Phil Ward swapped the gin and lime of the Last Word for rye and lemon at Death & Co in New York in 2008, signing it with a pun on his own name. The equal-parts formula stays intact but the drink turns spicier and rounder. A perfect example of the Mr. Potato Head approach to cocktail riffing.

Shake and serve
Ingredients
- Rye whisky 22.5 ml
- Green Chartreuse 22.5 ml
- Maraschino Liqueur 22.5 ml
- Lemon Juice 22.5 ml
Method

Shake all ingredients with ice until well chilled.

Fine strain into a chilled coupe.
