Stephen Cole created this amaro-forward sipper at The Violet Hour in Chicago in 2007, turning bitter Cynar into the star of the show. The dash of lemon brightens everything without making it a sour. Low-proof, bittersweet and perfect before or after dinner.

Ingredients
- Cynar 60 ml
- Sweet Vermouth 30 ml
- Lemon Juice 7.5 ml
- Orange Bitters 6 dash
Method

Stir all ingredients with ice in a mixing glass.

Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass.

Express the lemon twist over the drink and drop it in.
