Whiskey Smash
Jerry Thomas listed the Smash as 'a julep on a small plan' back in 1862, and Dale DeGroff's citrus-forward revival made it a modern bar staple. It is the julep's more democratic cousin: no silver cup required. Cooling, zesty and dangerously sessionable.

Muddle and build
Afwerken met Mint sprig.
Ingredients
- Bourbon 60 ml
- Lemon (garnish) 3 wedge
- Simple Syrup 20 ml
- Mint Sprig 5 leaf
Method

Muddle the lemon wedges with the syrup in a shaker.

Add the bourbon, mint and ice, then shake well.

Double strain over crushed ice in a rocks glass.
- 4
Garnish with a fresh mint sprig.
